7:00am, depart from your hotel for a whole day trip to Preah Vihear from Siem Reap by driving via Anlong Veng (118km 2 -hour drive). Anlong Veng was a former strong hold of Khmer Rouge; visit the house of former Khmer Rouge commander, Tamok, (the butcher).

Continue another one-hour drive to Preah Vihear, the 10th Century temple Unesco World Heritage. Preah Vihear was built in different period, from 10th to late 12th century by various Khmer Kings.

The top of the mountain where the temple situated, visit its beautiful carving and bas – relief as well as you can view the landscape of Cambodia and Thailand.


Drive back to Siem Reap, if time permit, you can visit Banteay Srei (Angkor Pass is not included) and other temples along the way.


Arrive to Siem Reap around 6pm, tour ends at your hotel.

  • Dress standard: Dress standards are conservative throughout Asia, especially outside major cities. To respect this and for your own comfort, we strongly recommend modest clothing. This means clothing that covers your shoulders and knees. Loose, lightweight, long clothing is both respectful and cool in the predominantly hot Asian climate. Comfortable shoes are a must. The Apsara Authority which manages the park reserves the right to refuse entry to certain areas of the site for guests who wear clothing which is considered immodest. No smoking, drinking alcohol or touching the carvings is permitted in and around the temples.
  • Good to know: Preah Vihear temple opens from 7:30am till 5:30pm, but tourists can only climb up the hill of Preah Vihear till before 4:30pm. All nationalities are allowed to visit this temple now including peoples from Thailand and NO passport or its photocopy is required to present at the ticket boot anymore.This tour in conducted in English; however, in Chinese is doable upon request without extra charge. In Japanese, French, German, Spanish is also doable upon request with extra charge US$25 per group.
